idiot medicine
truth to slay the idiot within
Proverbs is 28:1
“The wicked flee when no one pursues,
but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
Sinful decisions. Poor decisions. Self-focus.
That creates within us:
Anxiousness.
Defensiveness, even without yet discovery or accusation.
Conviction.
Emotionally we “run”, even when not chased.
The opposite of peace.
Righteous decisions. Good decisions. Pure motives. Others-centered.
Doing what is right when it is not comfortable.
Doing what is right when it is hard, in spite of the hard.
That creates in us boldness. Like a lion.
A settled, courageous, heart.
A peaceful heart.
An anxiety-riddled, fleeing heart or a steady, peaceful, bold heart.
The latter is better. Way better.
Grindforth.
“The lust for comfort, murders the passion of the soul, then walks grinning at the funeral.”
Khalil Gibran, Poet. “The Prophet”
