truth to slay the idiot within
Proverbs 22:11
“He who loves purity of heart, and whose speech is gracious, will have the King as his friend.”
“Purity of heart” = good motives, desiring good, and wanting what’s right and best for all. In it for the Glory of God and good of all people
“Gracious speech” = posture of humility, kind or appropriate tone, concern about timing, helpful words, thoughtful choice of words, and wisdom in appropriate mechanism for delivering the communication.
“…will have the King as his friend.” = favor found from those in authority, audiences with those who are stewarding power, appreciation, reciprocity, and respect.
You’ll have friends in high places.
You are going to want friends in high places and low places.
Read how Nehemiah readied his heart then how he spoke to the King…
“If it pleases the King (Please, please)
And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.”
Grindforth!
“Why you doing this, Doc?
Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Friend, hell, I’ve got plenty of friends”
I don’t “
