idiot medicine
truth to slay the idiot within
Proverbs 8:5
You who are simple, gain prudence;
you who are foolish, set your heart on prudence.
The simple = the young, gullible, foolish, or easily manipulated
The prudent = the sensible, the wise, the shrewd
Set your heart = have a strong desire
The wise have cultivated a strong desire towards sensibility and shrewdness
Does this make sense?
What does the Bible say?
Is this the only way to get this done?
Is this the best way to get this done?
Who do I know who is great at doing this that could advise me?
Is there a smarter way to do this?
Be curious
Why did you do what I am about to do the way you did?
Hunger for truth, wisdom, good advice, good friends, best practices, and good mentors.
Grindforth!..with prudence
Part of my new professional life is working directly with leaders.
A leader can “rent my brain” for its experience and idea generation
A one-time call, a short-term coaching or long-term coaching relationship is available.
Feeling stuck? Wish you had another leader to think with you? I’m your huckleberry
