“The fear of man lays a snare,

but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”

fear of man = people pleasing

more obsessed with what people think of me and that they are thinking of me, than actually tending to me and living in and out of God’s already, total love and acceptance of me

we may be surprised (devastated?) at how few times anyone thinks of us at all

“Why do we pant for the approval of fellow serfs, when we already have the eternal acceptance of The King.”

That pant. That longing for…a snare. It’s a trap.

Perpetual human acceptance is uncatchable, unattainable. Like grasping wind.
