Proverbs 6:7-9
“Go to the ant, O sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise.
Without having any chief,
officer, or ruler,
she prepares her bread in summer
and gathers her food in harvest.”
“Wow, you seem to make a lot of good decisions! Who mentored you?”
“An ant.”
Without having any chief, officer or ruler…
the wise one prepares in this season so they can gather in the next season.

Growing up, becoming a professional, maturing…whatever you’d like to call it…it involves first becoming the CEO of you.
OWNERSHIP of your own life, responsibilities or your decisions, or lack their of…
Being faithful where you are, blooming where you are planted.
You don’t need chiefs, officers, rulers, bosses, coaches to motivate you…none of them could push you harder than you push yourself.
Doing the 1s, 2s and 3s, now and well, so you can be entrusted later with the 4s, 5s and 6s and even the 8s, 9s and 10s, later.
Push up that bar many times with good form. Then add the 45s. Do the same.
Then you can start stacking plates.
A curse of the young is declaring 8s, 9s, and 10s while not doing 1s, 2s, and 3s.
A stacked bar with an undeveloped chest and triceps laying on a bench is a sad sight.
That won’t go well.
Shooting for an amazing spouse?
Be becoming the type of person an amazing spouse will want to yoke themself to and join together.
I have learned life is not just life. It’s back to back to back to back to back to back to back seasons of life. My discipline and choices in this season are already determining my next season(s).
I tend to slack in a season and waste time wondering like crazy what the next season holds.
I’m called to dominated what’s in front of me and trust God for what is next.
He’s got you. He’s good. Learn from those ants.
